Coolant Bottle change after COD update
After upgrading my instrument pack to the 2007 version to enable the clock on Dsah i was left with the low coolant warning
an already know issue on this forum
but strangely not land rover
land rover had tried selling me a sensor and said it was unlikely to be the bottle
they checked to see what they sold the most of
i was informed they had sold 2 sensors and two bottles cant help thinking they were probably the same customer
gladly not taking the parts guys advise i purchased the bottl that came complete with the sensor
and bingo the low coolant message is now gone [/img]2005 D3 SE Auto

Reviving this, I have just made the COD software change and now have the warning.
Is the 07 software more accurate? Why does it come up all the time post change but only once in six months prior?Series 1 V8

Some vehicles have a fault mask (unintended or deliberate matters not) that stops the low coolant warning from working. When the float doesn't you get no warning at all. In the case of a coolant leak your 'warning' is the engine failing, pulling £4.5k ~ £6,5k out of your wallet.
Having a working warning is a very good thing(!). So much so I offer the software patch for free to any member that wants it.

Just started to get an intermittent low coolant warning. Is the best ccourse of action to change the bottle? If so, how much?As you slide down the banister of life
