Portable charging box using 12v battery.
I'm going to be needing to make a charging box using a 12v car battery, suitable box with carrying strap and enough sockets for charging phones, laptop etc.
I want to charge my charging box at home using my CTek, so I can use it in the field away from my car.
The requirement to charge a couple of 12v 7ah RC battery's is also critical.
Any help, E-Bay links etc., experiences and pitfalls, greatly appreciated coz I just know you guys will have already done this project. Mods:

I've brought many over the years , but this is it does every thing I done 10 days driving around Spain , it charged phone , iPads etc , great work light , it's spot on
And yes DT gave me the link to it about 18 months ago -------------------------------------------------
if you cant hold on dont let go , it ill come in handy for something even if you never use it.

Only 1 x 12v socket but can use a multi adapter from flea bay I charge mine in the box with my C-Tek.
Just unscrew the two connectors, connect the C-Tek Turn on the accubox and charge away.
Big enough to take my old LR battery.
PS. We'll arrange a date for my reversing cam

Have a look at the National Luna portable power pack for ideas. I have one with a 125aH Gel leisure battery in it and it is charge via a red Anderson plug as I drive.Club Exped trailer

Re-upping this thread as I need assistance.
I have made myself one of these and it contains my old D3 battery:

My intentions are to charge the smaller battery using my battery box + old D3 battery.
I have been using an inverter and plugging in a motorcycle battery charger to charge the smaller battery but I'm sure I'm doing things the long way around as I'm going from 12v to 240v back to 12v when there must be a simpler method.
Question: Is there a simple method to charge a small 12v battery from a bigger 12v battery without using an inverter?Mods:

Ctek d250s is the dc dc of choice but there are alternatives like the optimate dc 12v which is about a 1/4 of the price and gets decent reviews. Extronix also did a dirt cheap one for £18 but haven't seen any reviews on it....
There is a device for charging one vehicle from another via their respective power sockets. It looks like a long two core lead with a plug on each end and a small box inline. Had one for years and I recall it being seen as "cheap" when I bought it and I have carried it about but never needed to use it.
