I don't know about Nokian WR G3, but I had WRG2 on my LR3 for a long time .Did 55 000 miles and they still had 4 mm thread left.
Excellent all year tire, the best I have ever had in fact. Superior in winter and good enough in hot NJ summers.
Last year I switched to more aggressive AT tire, Rottiva , as I wanted something for an off road use.
After 25 000 miles wear indicator still shows 80% , so not bad t all, although, that developed a noise , I guess, due to a hard wearing compound as a UTQG is 700 on these .Nokians all the way for me.

I run Nokian WR G3 on the Wife's VW 4X4 and the grip is excellent and the wear is amazing. She uses them years round and even in warm weather they are very grippy unlike some winter tyres over 7 degrees. Tread looks good too.

I hope that's a tongue in cheek comment
AJS will price you for any tyre choice you have as has been demonstrated by many posts including one in this topic by NJSS, it's not a sales pitch as there is no price information, it is an offer of professional advice on tyres and pointing out that a deal can be made on a very popular and well documented winter tyre choice for D3 &4 fitment
Personally I've had Wintracs, and not from AJS due to distance, they're a great winter tyre, my work commute takes me over the Peak District the infamous "cat and fiddle" and similar roads, they perform well and when the road is getting congested with lorries, cars and vans etc spinning wheels, I can just pic my way through.
This year I'm on LTZ's as all rounders as I now have to use a company provided car- looking forward to those days at home Altox GSM FBH controller thread

Looking at Nokian WR SUV 3 they have much better wet rating than the wintracs with C versus E and for a similar price. I think they are classed as more of an All season tyre over there but they may have different standards than us in Finland

I have just bought 4 Nokians at £158 a corner fitted. Haven't put them on as its 21c! If you look at the tests that the various mags do Vreds rarely make it into the top 5.

Hi Zac
£158 fitted ? - That's a pretty good price Are you running 18" or 19" on your D3 ?
If 19" - who and where ?
Best price I can find is £159.89 excl. fitting & balance (Tyre leader)

I appreciate the deals that AJ can do for us, however is he able to give his opinion about which tyres are popular/worth the money spent/do what it says on the rubber? For the amount of money that we spend on tyres for our cars, £700- £1500 a set, most of us wish to get the best out of them. It would be great if someone in the trade could state their own preference Dave
