Disco 3 HSE in Bonatti Grey - Fully Colour Coded |
|
New member and new owner of a Disco 3 HSE in Bonatti Grey - fully colour coded.
I had a Java Black Disco 3 HSE a good few years ago and really loved it - did quite a few mods to it.
Have lots of plans for this one too. Have already added side steps, smoked side repeaters and black supercharged bonnet/boot badges.
Its going in next week to DCC to have the full Disco 4 facelift and im also having 20" genuine LR Landmark alloys and a roof spoiler fitted at same time. Ive also ordered some 30/25mm spacers from TBR and they should be here by end of next week.
Will upload pics once the D4 conversion is finished.

Why are you getting spacers, the Landmark alloys should fit fine.
Also, reckon a set of black side tubes would look better than the chrome edged steps

I totally hear you and i am very aware that spacers are a very controversial issue on here and other forums etc. Personally ive put spacers on a few different cars, including 4x4's and never had any issues - but then i dont keep my cars very long (6mths to 1yr normally max) as i get bored. Having said that to answer your question i am doing it purely for "aesthetics" - the offset of the Landmarks are the same as the HSE wheels im currently running (ET53) and personally i find they sit in the arches a little too much - i love that wide beefy stance and ive seen the exact same set up on anther D3 with same offset and it looked awesome. Each to their own i suppose but its just a personal choice. very nice.
Mine is Bonatti and I have been in 2 minds about what colour to do the wheels - black or silver - seeing a picture of your car has made my mind up - gloss black it is.
Just need to have the arches and bumpers painted now... Bonatti Grey with Tundra, Duratracs, DISCO3 sticker, De-badged then rebadged in black, EGRs blanked - still saving for IC and BAS remap...

Thanks fella. The new Landmark wheels are the polished arms with gloss black inserts - im going to fit them as they are initially but im very tempted later on to have them colour coded grey or maybe a matt black?? disco-hoops, I put 20" wheels on my D3 not too long ago they are 20" x 9.5" with a 45eta offset. This change from my stock 19" LR wheels resulted in an additional 27mm or 1.06" outer position. It's the best mod I've done with my D3 as it makes the wheels fill the arches better. Not sure what spacers you chose but I wish I would have chosen a 40eta offset for additional width. 16 D4 Landmark

Unnecessary quote removed
Thanks for the reply. Im not sure which 20" wheels you fitted to yours but im pretty confident that the 20" Landmark alloys are the same offset as the 19" HSE wheels ive removed - which is ET 53 - the only other difference, bar the obvious 20" as opposed to 19", is that the Landmark wheel is 8.5 x 20 as opposed to 8 x 19 on the HSE.
If anyone knows any different let us know. Disco 3 HSE - Bonatti Grey - Black Leather - Fully Colour Coded - Side Steps - Light Guards - Smoked Side Repeaters - Black Supercharged Badges - and lots more to come....
