Retro fit of foglamps
Finally got around to fitting the reclaimed bumper yesterday. Saved a few pounds and time getting hold of a ready made one.

As with everything, it didn't go all smoothly, the new washer bottle has 3 holes in it, I assume one for the windscreen, one for the headlamp washers and the other for the level indicator, which I don't have on the old bottle, back to Pentland! And off with the bumper again!

I hope you got your new bumper for a bargain price as there's a much cheaper way than buying a replacement bumper johnny585.
You can cut the holes in your existing bumper, the pattern is marked on the back, fit the lamps, install the loom + switch and Robert is your mothers brother.
Back of your existing bumper will look like this:
You just chain drill out the middle and away you go:

Once you install the bezels, it tidy's everything up nicely.Mods:

I did, it worked out half the price of buying all the parts and the faffing about of cutting the holes.

thanks Narpy and Johnny585, it is inspiring. first thing is if I can disassemble the bumper. up to now I can only remove grille and front lamps. does haynes manual teach this too?

Behind the front right headlight ( viewed from drivers seat ), you should have something that looks similar to this:
Those two connectors, one is for front PDC and the other is for front fogs. There's two possible genuine looms. One just does front fogs only and the other does fogs + PDC. You can get either. Plug up, fit the lights + switch and everything should work, it doesn't need enabling, front fogs are plug and play.
This is the switch you need: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LAND-ROVER-DISCO...ADiscovery
It's a direct replacement for your current headlight switch but instead of having one click pull out, this has two pull outs. One does rear fogs and the other will switch on your newly installed front fogs.Mods:

Many many thanks Narpy. I saw them they are behind the front headlamps. So I just plug into the free connector right ?
Where is the rear fog light ? Do I have it or need to install?
Additional: when I replace expansion tank, do I need to, as mentioned in the service manual, release the lower fan shroud? I hope it is as easy as just remove the two tank screws and plug and play the two hoses ....

Yeah, just plug in, should be fine. Rear fogs are built in to the rear light cluster and are already in place, so you don't need to worry about these.
You don't need to replace expansion tank if you are only fitting front fogs. Mods:
