May I ask. How much is the v8 disk conversion and where would I find the parts and second question is couldn't you fit the v8 brembo callipers too. I'm sure I've seen a d3 with them fitted but if I remember rightly the v8 calliper will only fit behind a 19" HSE wheel or bigger

V8 conversion just uses bigger discs and different caliper carrier brackets. All other components (calipers and pads) remain the same. The V8 caliper carrier bracket just positions your existing TDV6 caliper at a slightly different angle on the disc to ensure the standard TDV6 pads cover the whole braking surface of the bigger V8 discs.
V8 brake conversion requires 18" wheels or bigger. 17" do not fit. Brembo 4 pot calipers are different again. Somebody will be along shortly to explain that upgrade (not something I feel I need).
You will find everything you need on the Advanced Factors site here:
http://www.advancedfactors.co.uk/brake-par...3-11-c.asp
They do upgrade kits containing everything you need to replace your existing TDV6 brakes with V8 brakes.
Always highly recommended; Excellent quality parts and outstanding service.

ok, so my 'normal' front brakes are shot!, Geoff has looked at the back and said there ok for the time being, he is fitting a V8 upgrade, question is, do I get front and back done at the smell time, or..... just the fronts?

Up to you. I did my fronts and put the rears on 12 months later.
Never had to use them in anger but the braking effect is miles better. De-Tango
V8 Brakes
EGRs blanked
Running boards
3 flash indicators and clock on dash

As per Sydney - entirely up to you. Don't just think about the wear left on rears, think about how long you think you will keep the D3. If you think you will need to change rears before you sell it, then change them now and get the benefit of the upgrade yourself. That is of course if you have the cash available now. 2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.
