is this a transmission oil cooler leak?

Disco 3 V8
Discovered oil leak this morning on left hand side below radiator. Taking it tomorrow to see if it's just a lose line or clamp. I wonder how much trans fluid has leaked out. How do you know how much to add?
I had my trans fluid and pan done in Sept 2014.
Thanks,
Dave

England

Its filled to the fill point, not quantity.

But has to be done at a particular temperature of the gear box oil - 30'C min 50'C max - so warm it to 30 -go through the gears up to 3rd in command shift (At idle) and stationary, check it, top it up till it just dribbles out and jobs done. If the temperature goes above 50'C then you need to abort and letit cool down again - but it is a very quick job so unlikely to get that high!

I use a 500ml syringe to get the oil in. Less mess and just easier Thumbs Up

I would take the plastic cover off. Could be the steering rack leaking slightly Thumbs Up

Took plastic off. The leak was coming from the lower radiator Oil Cooler Hose. The Clamp on the trans cooler hose was loose. Tighten it up, let's see if that stops the leak.
Good thing to check up on.

Check your lower Trans oil cooler hose. The clamp on the hose seems to get loose over time and leak oil slowly. Glad I got it on time.
