Well after nearly 4 months of looking for a D3 today I finally collected one and I'm like the Cheshire cat who got the cream

If it's a 06/07 change the oil pump casing while having the cam belt changed. Unless you are certain it's been done.

I'd say do the oil pump anyway - it's very little extra cost and worth it for the peace of mind. I have an 09 and I opted to change it.2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

Welcome, we have a Midlands meet each month, every other month it's Tamworth way well , Shenstone , the other month it's Featherstone, pop along and meet some other mad owners
Definitely worth upgrading the oil pump to the later model, 08's can fail, so I'd get that done with the belts
Where are you going for the TC, I used a good guy in Cannock for mine
If you need any updates or CCF enabling give me a shout, I'm only in Stafford and pass throug your area a fair bit Altox GSM FBH controller thread

Yeah may well get over for a Midlands meet at some point and I'll get the oil pump done just to be on the safe side
Thanks for all the advice, I'm sure I will have lots and lots of questions during ownership
Thanks again
