Tank Mileage - New Record!
540 Miles on a full tank

Lie-o-meter states this:

But according to my spreadsheet I achieved 30.31 MPG that's 3.6mpg out
Currently experimenting, doing 5 fill using premium diesel and comparing MPG against the previous 5 - After 2 complete fills it's 29.08 mpg v's 25.72 mpg, early days though and 3 more full tanks to go
Then I can work out if it's actually worth the around 16p more per liter for the premium fuelIggy/Ieuan

It's not called the lie-o-meter for nothing. I always chuckle when someone says "I got such and such mpg", obviously relying on the trip comp. Yeah, sure you did.

Blimey I'm lucky if I get 340 miles between fill-ups. I'm aware that the stop-start traffic on my daily commute hammers the MPG though.
[anorak mode]I've been recording the difference between indicated and actual MPG for nearly two years and it varies between about 1.5 and 3.5 above actual. I haven't been able to fathom any particular pattern to it [/anorak mode]Darren

Saw this a bit after refuelling on the way back from Norway. Didn't last long due to the autobahn to Hamburg being closed.

Oh and sorry, the pedant in me can't help mentioning that 34.7-30.3 is 4.4.
I really should learn how to subtract
The 540 miles did involve a few steady trips down to Swansea and back, but well impressed Iggy/Ieuan

Ridiculous isnt it that the stop / start is supoosed to reduce emissions but you end up spending more on diesel which defeats the object. MY15 D4 SDV6 HSE Corris Grey - Gone
MY05 D3 TDV6 SE Zambezi silver Auto Alpaca leather - Gone

540 miles to a tank That's superb. You must have been running on fumes for the last few miles

I'm talking about driving stop-start traffic - not the stop-start system Darren

I frequently get well into 500 miles per tank.
Often have a range of over 600 as well, never had 600 to a tank yet though...
