HSE is the spec level, what Slimer was referring too was the year of manufacture.
LR change/update specifcations dependant on year of manufacture.

I'm currently using an 8800 blackberry, no probs placing and ending calls and dialling from the radio keypad but since my HSE is an 07 spec, there is NO phonebook download facility. easy to workround though, just program your car 'dial name' function to your most often used numbers.
ps, you need an 08 model year to transfer phonebook over bluetooth 2007 HSE Java Black.....sold

Hi again,
It is a MY07.....
Where do I find details on using the Blackberry with Bluetooth over and above what is in the manual?
Can the phone integration not be updated by software from MY07 -> MY08?
Regards
John.

dont think the software can be updated on the D3
to pair, simply go to options on your blackberry, click bluetooth , set the blackberry to search for devices and it will find the D3 (called LAND ROVER on my blackberry). pair by typing the code 2121 and remember to set the pairing to 'trusted' on the blackberry (so as it will pair automatically next time
thats it
to dial with the keypad, click the green phone steeringwheel button and type the number into the radio then press the green st wheel button again, alternatively, issue the voice command 'Telephone, Dial Number' and say the number 2007 HSE Java Black.....sold
