@Dan_NL Well, I haven't got any electric heaters in my cars for 8 years now. All had FBH with timer and diesel engine. Only challenge is to keep the battery in live. And that's ok if not too short trips. Actually last car Jaguar XF, couldn't even take an electric heater to the engine.
But yes, in these temperatures, below -22C EH would be good, though. Just recently got a parking slot with electricity available. Maybe I'll get small battery charger to keep battery healthy, and enable more frequent FBH usage also on short trips.

That is looking a lot healthier than when we were there a couple of weeks ago - 16 degrees at 2,000m! Still managed to ski every day though.
This was probably one of barest patches at that time - the top of the lift from Leogang from inside the gents, looking out through the glass window. A pee with a view If you haven't skied there before then look for the speed camera on the slope leading down to this hut - we managed between 90 and 100km/h on a flat out schusse - puts the 200+ of the downhillers into perspective!

Now in semi-retirement I'm just not prepared to take these unexpected and huge repair bills when they decide to hit at random.
The FL2 has not given me any cost of repair in the 18 of months of ownership ..... yet!
But if it does, it won't be as costly.
