LTB00963 Is being applied to my car today. Will update when I get it back. My specific issue was needing to slowly turn up the temperature dial to maintain a steady cabin temperature. After a long run, needed to dial 25 degrees to achieve a cabin temp of 21.

Still have my car as I am awaiting my replacement which was on a four month delivery. Heating still no good. Chilly this morning, turned heater up to 27, still did not blow out hot air. I had forgotten how bad it was. Cant wait for the car to go and I can get into something that works.

That's not good. Mine does get warm, but you have to adjust the dial regularly.

What are you moving to?

Going to try a RRS. I am just hoping that this D4 was a Friday afternoon vehicle (too many faults to mention), and that the Sport is OK.

Well, that worked out well.

Dealer took a look at the car and said it didn't need the work doing. So I have bought a thermometer and need to provide photographic evidence.

I have a sensor plugged set up with a display linked to an iPhone. Then have camera set up recording actual v temp setting.

Interesting results!!

I wouldnt bother doing any of that. The answer will be "it is working within manufacturers tolerance".
I went through the same process over 6 months with the car going back on numerous occassions, hence why i "gave up"

I think I'll just use a basic thermometer, but which sensor do you have that works with your iPhone?

My issue isn't that bad. Just means I need to play with the temperature dial now and then. I can get hot and cold air aplenty, just have to find the balance.

Is this issue now resolved with the updates?

A follow-on from my update of 13 Aug 16.

LTB00908 - Outside ambient temperature is now spot on, still need some really cold weather to test the ice alert warning.

LTB00963 - HEVAC seems now to be under control. Before the fan had a mind of it's own. I now get warm air from the foot wells and screen and not from the 4 round face vents, which I assume is correct. When cooling is needed, then air comes out of all vents. However, comparing this heating system to my previous 3 Freelanders (1xF1 and 2x F2) it takes much longer to warm up the car. The Freelanders were almost instant heat, the Disco4 takes a mile or two to start giving out warm air.

.

Many thanks

Nene are doing the updates for me and it is interesting that they say the 963 update is a foam insulator

" a foam insulator "

I would think that it must be more than that.

The difference in how mine now operates suggests something else as well; perhaps a software update or other adjustment/alteration.
