To get at it, you have to remove the battery.
To get an idea of what to look for, go to the Auxiliary Battery compartment on the other side of the engine bay and follow the body of the inside guard to the rear of the compartment. You will probably need a torch to find it but you will see a rounded nut fixed to the earth bolt.
You will need to find the same bolt on the other side. You can reach it with your hand but it is just about physically impossible to reach with any form of tools without removing the battery.
Cheers.
PS if you decide to remove the battery to find the earth bolt, take care, there is a wire loom coming from the rear of the fuse box, located located between the guard and the cranking battery.
Take care not to upset the connector on this loom, because it will cause all sorts of strange electrical problems if you do.

I think it's the rear of the transfer box one that I need, thanks TFC, the other one is battery to chassis. Thanks for the tip about the plug Drivesafe.
I'll now have a look on the weekend to see if either it is there or if the connections are faulty.

Actual Location of Earth Strap |

TFC, you said the earth strap is located at the rear of the transfer case, I cannot find one (earth strap).
Can you tell me where it bolts on to on the transfer case and on the chassis? If you had a pic that would be even better.
Thanks in advance
