Well got the oil pump break, engine rebuild  
Time for a new one  B-A-S Remap Interface giving me control over my remap

Well, 8 years old now. Done me well. The is its only done 66K miles. Evan got timing belt changed last service to avoid this, then bloody pump fails
Done a search on here, and found the known fault. Maybe a sticky required about it.
May have to move over to Disco 4  B-A-S Remap Interface giving me control over my remap

IIRC you have owned this car since new ?
With a full LR service history I would have thought that there might be a chance of a contribution from LR towards the cost of an exchange engine, but it may not be worthwhile.
In which case get in touch with Disco_Mikey, who might be able to help with fitting a s/h engine.

Xmas week , cost me new front bearings, disks and pads. Just waiting for the next problem

I had a close call with the same fault at 33,000 miles.... Flack found a cracked casing whilst changing the belts so fitted a new oil pump casing. Lost all faith in the vehicle so sold it and bought a Landcruiser.
