Part number reqd for heated seat element please.
I have noticed my drivers side heated seat has been running a tad hot under my right thigh, what I didnt realise was it is so hot it actually burnt my thigh, I thought I had done it at work as I peeled the excess skin off! then twigged it was the bloody seat
So new seat heat pad and possibly foam it is.
Part numbers much appreciated

Just to wrap this up its all done, new foam and element 168.66 the pair.
Tbh foam would have gone again, hog ring pliers essential with 12 hog rings, makes life a doddle, also a T40 torx for the 4 seat base securing bolts.
Ordered the parts, parts guy had not heard of any getting that hot they burnt the flesh, went back to pick the parts up and he tells me very next day another guy came in to order same parts with same skin removal story!

Mine had done the same, burnt a hole in itself, I got a genuine new foam and element for £91 from farnells land rover in Leeds, it was for a RRS1 but those part numbers look familiar

If you can find the part number sit would help the next guy out to the tune of 70 quid.
I did think the element I removed was poorly fitted.

That's exactly the same place mine failed, but I escaped the sun burn effect It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Any of you guys able to advise on how to stick heating element to new seat foam?
Do I need a special adhesive or will normal spray adhesive be OK?
Also what size are the hog rings? I'm guessing 8-10mm?
About to order a new seat base from Dan so any replies welcome so I can get all the kit ready to crack on.

I was wondering the same thing about the size of replacement hog rings. Has anyone who's already done this got an answer?

Had the same thing in a rear seat, but mine set light to the cushion too. My son was sitting in the seat at the time but fortunately he was on a booster. Car filled with smoke while on a dual carrigeway and 3 kids in the back. Was a bit of a shocker.
Cushion has cost over £150 plus the heater element..
