All the Dafs do that especially when its cold/damp, not noticed it so much with the Euro6 models.

I had something similar yesterday although the engine was up to temperature. After a short trip on the A14 cruising at about 65mph, I pulled off and then had reason to put my foot down hard for a short burst of speed. The poor b.. er behind me disappeared in a cloud of white smoke!
When I had the chance I did it again with the same result, but then it cleared and has not repeated.
Tried it again in the evening and again all was fine - but I can't keep doing it so am assuming all is now well.
I can only think that as I drive fairly smoothly and gently (most of the time) the turbos needed an "Italian tune-up."FFRR Westminster TDV8

Well here we are 2 months on and it has happened again. Following a learner for a few miles then got the opportunity to pass safely, so dropped a gog using Command Shift and pulled out. Poor b r disappeared in a fog of white smoke as I sailed past. Booked into main dealer for the full monty in a couple of weeks under warranty.FFRR Westminster TDV8

Job done and all is well, but it will be a few weeks/miles before I know if anything has changed as the car did it very infrequently. However, service manager said they had done quite a few and never had one back still smoking. FFRR Westminster TDV8
