main bearing torque settings
Hi folks,
Does anybody have the torque settings for the main bearings on a TDV6 2.7?
I've searched high and low, but no luck. I even have the manuals for Jag an discovery, but still no help.
Thanks,

The settings are Nm and needs to be multiplied by 10. i,e; First satge is 6Nm x 10 = 60Nm

Nice one seems a very convoluted way of giving what is a fairly simple torque-turn procedure

Hi Guys!
Does anyone know where to buy new main bearing bolts?
They have to be new when rebuilding the bottom end.

1-16. Can be reused, given the size and torque needed..
17-24 though are made of cheese so def replace them!
Conrod bolts: replace them
I bought them at island4x4. Lookup the partnumber from LR and put the number in the searchbox on their site... 4 days later it wil be on your doorstep.... at least everytime i order there Best regards

Re-using the big bolts is not a good idea. These are expansion screws.

Never seen torque specs given like that before (multiplied) wonder how many people that's caught out over the years!

The picture with the torque values is from the french Citroen Workshop manual.
And the values are in "kp" 1 kp x 9,81 = 9.81 Nm
Here is 9.81 aproximately 10
