I only bought the beer to use the wifi, and it was unusable!! I have a pic of the beer but no way I can upload it, either wifi or cellular data. Now I've just got to make it through Poland without stocking up on stupidly cheap beer for Scadinavia.
Right, off to stack zzzzzs as was up at 3:20am today.

Will do. meeting up with a certain sand and sleep loving mutual friend of ours later tonight and going to tromp over some battlefield sites S & E of Berlin (Halbe Kessel & Seelow Heights respectively). Presently outside the CWGC cemetary just S of Zossen, a lovely peaceful & shady place to park up & get another coffee pot on. Or have a schnooze. Booooooootiful 27c atm.

Will see if cous-cous is on the menu for tomorrow night!!
Just trying to load up pics on very slow hotel wifi.
Proof of the pudding, well it was last course of the day yesterday. Not a campsite I'd recommend as the trains ran through the night, and the motorway for louder as the cars got faster.

Presently tucked up in a nice hotel in Zossen. Had a nice leisurely non autobahn drive over here, lots for stops to brew up and just enjoy the more relaxed pace.
Stopped at the Junkers museum N of Leipzig briefly, didn't go in but snapped a few pics of the old Rooskie stuff outside.
Oi, who parked that LR in the way? no doubt the first of many where Dark Bluie manages to get in the shot.

Not good pics but they had some steps up to the canopies of a twin seat MiG-21U-400 Mongol. Only one word came to mind, claustrophobic!! You'd have to be tiny to fit in one, the visibility must have been terrible when flying. No way my slim frame would have fitted.

Here in full size, not my pic.

All the markings inside and outside were in Russian, no getting away from who was the boss in there.
Then on to the CWGC cemetary south of Zossen. Anyone that saw the Beeb documentary on the Indian troops that fought in WW1 (series on how the Empire's troops helped us out) will remember the memorial at Neuve Chapelle and how many of those taken POW were shipped to near Berlin. This was the place and those who didn't survive capture were buried here. CWGC have done a fantastic job considering it was a Soviet military training area. Lots of long forgotten regiments and units, also (something I didn't notice before) sailors from the Indian Merchant Marine and naval forces. Also markers for soldiers that dies in both WW1 and WW2, the latter in defence of that area when the Soviets arrived. A truely magical place.

Pics to be added, when is another matter. Also waiting on friend to arrive so we can hit the bar.
PS And it got up to a lovely 29c here today. Booooooooootiful.

Welcome to the madness. I'll run Glympse and put up the link, either when heading up through Poland, Baltics and up through Scandinavia, or kick it off once in Finland. Problem is I have to remember to reset it as it is 4 hours max. Glad I've got a couple of gig of data on my phone and 3 gig in Scandinavia through three on the ipad. I'm on Tesco so got 900 mins available this side of the 15th July, and 1000 mins other side. SWMBO's already threatening to unplug the landline and switch off her mobile.
