Heading souff a few days early, been a great trip but time to head home. The thought of following that E6 to Oslo did not appeal one little bit yesterday, nor did the Fv17. Bouncing around in convoys on campervans at 40mph with no chance of passing for mile after mile. Had a bit of a charge over to the Swedish coast ( I may have seen 80mph on the dial but backed off as the roads were pretty rutted and ruts were full of water. The old girl loved it but she's back to graceful plodding today, down to Linnkoping at a steady 60mph. SWMBO did a bang up job in sorting hotels.
Remember when Glynn chucked that rubbish on the fire in Tunisia and Albert trumped up that he'd put a spent gas canister in there? LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Oh what happy days the Tunisia trips were.
Monster drive today, ~680 miles, but now tucked up in hotel in Lund ready to head over the bridge tomorrow. Duisburg tomorrow night, "only" 550 miles, means most of Germany is done on Sunday so no truck traffic. Then home mid afternoon Monday.
Off to stack zzzzzzzs, night chaps.

Bit of a long drag yesterday, was going to stop at Duisburg but would have been there mid afternoon so kept going to Coquelles. That would have meant waiting 3 hours so booked into the Ibis Budget there (disaster but that's another issue), stocked up on baguettes & croissants then headed to the tunnel. Due over in an hour.
Yesterday morning was a day of bridges
Malmo bridge £43

Great belt bridge £27

And another bridge I didn't clock the name of but it was free so I called it the happy bridge.

Nothing else of note, just a looooooooooooooooong day in the car. Should be home in a few hours & SWMBO is buying the steaks to go with the baguettes.

No hanging around. Just don't look at how many miles from the Scandic Star in Lund to the Chunnel. All at 60mph.
Back this side of the Channel now. Just got to remember to drive on t'other side. Just 75 miles to go.
PS Presently stuck on train as there is a "technical problem". And M25 from seven oaks to M23 is a parking lot.

Thanks for looking in.
Back safely. Steak & baguette dinner and a decent schlug of vino collapso. Plus being fantastic back with the dogs & SWMBO. And my own bed. Good to be home.

Great trip
Apart from the chair, any tech issues to report?

No technical issues with the car, just the coffee pot handle (used a glove to pick it up) and the chair (fixed for 12 NOKs/£1.10). Injector balance values a bit concerning with injector restricted code and car felt really sluggish on the M20 heading towards the M25. Hey ho, it's only money.
Great Road Trip, 6,100 miles in total and 3 new countries ticked off. Most of the sights were new to me, plus some old favourites. A lot warmer than the last trip but a lot buggier, I'd forgotten how bad the bugs could be. Car was superb for that trip, even managed to use/need offroad height a few times and low box once.
Will have a look at the pics on the phone and see if anything else worth posting but at the mo good to be back and fantastic to sleep in my own bed with one of the boyz snuggling in.

Great trip report, Del.
If it's any consolation, I've had an Injector Restricted fault code appearing on and off for the last 12 months or so now but the car is not showing any noticeable symptoms other being a bit down on power. No smoke, no misfiring, and still doing 34mpg. I very much doubt the injector is actually restricted otherwise I expect it would be misfiring badly.
I plan to replace two or three injectors with new ones this summer and see how that goes.
