DIY window tints with photos
Hello had a go at tinting my rear windows
Got some cheap tint roll off eBay
New it was cheap tint but it was more to have a go than any thing else doesn't look to bad but after my holidays I will get some pre cut tint and decent tools and do a better job
It's not hard just a bit fiddly so with pre cut it should be clean spray smooth
Here's some photos before during and after
Looks ok will post again when I use good tint film and fitting tools
You need to use loads of soapy water and sharp blades just take your time
If I can do it anybody can
Cheers Henda All transmission oil replaced
3 flash indicators
All timing belts changed
EPB serviced
De cat fitted
Wind deflectors
De-tango done
Tints fitted
Egr blanked

I did a few of my mates cars and an Astra estate I owned, they all turned out well apart from my own Astra, it turned out really good also until.. I got to the rear window and as soon as the wind caught it, it put a huge crease in it. I think the moral of my story is, if you can guarantee dust and wind free (ie, do it indoors if possible with plenty of cleaning) it's relatively easy.

Nice work.
I couldn't even put frosted tint on my flat square bathroom window never mind this...
Just been looking at some precut tints on said auction site... this has just given me hope
Must own the only black hse without tinted glass! It's a right gold fish bowl without them.
Did you have a proper heat gun, or just a hair dryer? And did you remove any interior trim first or just poke it behind?
Either or, it's a top job So far - 4X4 Info~3 Flash Indicators~2 Video inputs~Bluetooth Music~Dr-T~Fridge~Phone Update~SatNav on the move~Clock on Dash~Black in and out~Window Tints
To Do - LED lights in and out~Black wheels (maybe 18's?)~new grille and and rear lights

What level of tint have you used? I need to do the same but don't want to lose the ability to see out when reversing, driving in Europe etc. I just want to increase privacy/security. Looks good, by the way.
