From Discovery 2 to Discovery 3
Hi all, finally made the step up from Disco 2 to Disco 3 today, all I can say is what a difference.
The TDV6 makes the TD5 feel like a tractor by comparison.
No photos yet, too busy enjoying the refined drive for now!

iv had 2 td5 discovery and never had to pay like on the disco 3,but your right lot nicer drive and better for towing .maybe i was just unlucky but paid out just shy of £4000 in 12 months list to long to write out but with all that love it to death.

Did the same went from a II to a three and definitely chalk and cheese.
Its not that bad, 15,000 miles in, mine has had new pads front, discs & pads rear, both front hubs, track rod end, arb bushes front & rear, engine temp sensor and a new battery all doable at home. And no breakdowns.==================================

Much the same as my TD5 then, 2 front hubs, new air bags, compressor refurb, height sensors.
I done them myself so not too bad, I've also got a Nanocom Evo, just need the unlock code for Disco 3 and the different lead.

1st job done, I got the rear parking sensors working, glad it was the outer ones which were dead, saved a bigger job.
2 new(ish) ones in and they work fine now.

Get a gearbox flush done before the wear shows and costs a new one Dave
