Suspension C112F-72 (2E) C1130-66 (2E) Valve Stuck Open

Yellow light came on twice today. I'm sure I felt the rear sinking. Whistle

Could someone tell me whether its the front or rear valve block I need to look at ?

Thank you Wink

C112F-72 (2E) Air spring valve - Mechanical failure - actuator is stuck open

C1130-66 (2E) Air spring air supply - Algorithm based failure - signal has too many transitions/events

Oh and bonus Q - Which speaker ?

B1A01-13 (2C) Speaker 1 circuit - General electrical failure - circuit open

I had a look at the compressor and rear valve block.

All looked very clean.

I put some soapy water over it and didn't see any air bubbles with eng running.

Compressor stopped

You won't see any, it's an internal leak. if it were me I'd dismount the rear air block, dismantle it, clean all the seals and refit. if that failed, i'd fit a new rear block. If you're sure it's a problem at the rear...

Arh yes of course.

I did a search on here, which lead me to get the soapy water out.

It's on my job list to clear the internals of the front block.

However I would really like to know whether my code points to a front or rear problem. Sad

Can't believe I can't find these codes. I download some stuff from topix a while ago. I have the 4x4 codes but not much else.

Aside of electrical failure every failed valve block I have seen has been full of desiccant dust. With desiccant in the system a clean of all the valve blocks and the pump, plus new desiccant, is the ideal way forward.

If you follow the instructions to diagnose a dropping air bag; remove fuse 26 and measure the heights, leave overnight and remeasure you might find that the affected end has dropped. Then you have confirmation as to whether it's front or back. If that fails then it might be an intermittent issue. You could clear the fault and wait for it to happen again...

Thanks. Good idea about the fuse. I guess that prevents it self leveling.

EDIT: Appears to be the front passenger side which has dropped. Not as much as expected though over 1 night.

I have been chasing down the cause of these codes on my 06.

In the end, replacing the rear valve block has (so far) fixed the problem. Typically, I started at the front...

However, a possible help with diagnosis if you have and IID or similar is to log these on a run:-
Gallery Pressure
Reservoir Valve
Exhaust Valve
All four corner valves
Ride height

I had the gallery pressure sawtoothing, it would go from 200Kpa up to 500Kpa over the course of a few minutes. Then the exhaust valve would do a quick fart and the cycle would begin again.
After a couple of these cycles the one of the rear valves would open for a few seconds.
I guess this was the result of the leaking air back feeding into the system. It would pump itself back up when next stationary.

Since replacing the block, the gallery pressure sits at a stable 333Kpa and the saggy rear has gone away.
