Would it pass a mot as mine is out as kwik fit failed it on n/s/r upper suspension arm bush and the back bold won't come off so I have got to cut the arm off and get a new one but it has been standing for two weeks.

Also light may not come on straight away or indeed at all.
Mine came on about 8 months after blanking. Car still drives the same.
MOT is a grey area. Some have said their motors passed with light on. I didn't risk it and got the patch fitted before MOT time.

Mine passed MoT two years in a row with the EML on without so much as a mention. You could always call and ask in advance?2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

Dawson, you may get a limp mode with blanking plates on. A small number of EuIV engined cars get the limp mode when blanked off. Only fixable by software update.
I'm not a million miles from you (well when I'm not on holiday that is) and can do the patch and blanking etc.
I'm back on 4th September.
Discomadness, there's a few guides on here showing how to blank them. Blanks easily available on eBay or advanced factors etc Bodsys Brake Bible

Just had my n/s/r suspension arm replaced. Bolts were seized and had to be cut out. Replacement bolts were £30 for LR. Ideally you will need a 4 way wheel alignment afterwards.Dave

Thanks got the bushes from John craddock thinking all will be ok but LR put that back bold in a silly place and nut has sized in. Will have to have tracked as front gose two the left.

On the same topic - my egrs are on the way out (start sticking from time to time) on a 7A and I am considering changing them.
Is there a considerable difference between OEM (nearly 300 pounds each), Valeo (below 200 each) or some noname with a price a bit above 100 each? Iid tool + patch + blanking seems a bit more expensive alternative.
