Rear view mirror
I thought I'd post a picture of what I saw when I did a check of my rear view mirror yesterday!
My recent purchase (1966 SWB 2a) following us (on a trailer) back to it's new home - well until I can get it through an MOT

I got a couple of supermarket dings fixed in my driver-side door, as well as a few chips filled by SmartCar UK in Swindon.

They checked all the photos/videos on the memory card as well - I think when he got to the photos of the dogs in the back garden he realised it was all innocent.
Though I have to admit if he'd played the video of my loop around Parliament Square and Whitehall on Tuesday (before going down to the Fairmile) it could have been an interesting discussion...
whats even more amazing is he cant spell discovery!
What did I do in my Dico this week......absolutely f g nothing again as it is back in the Stealers for another cable fault not covered by warranty Being the eternal optomist has kept me going so far but not for much longer. One year on and the car has been on the stealers almost once a trip (5 weeks). Getting close to calling it a day, as wonderful as it is to drive it has been off the road in one year more than all the other cars I've owned over the last 30 years.
Better have another drink and put my rose tinted glasses back on.

Drove to the Central Coast for a friend's fathers funeral. with rain, but very easy and safe drive. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Got press ganged into holding a Ford Ka on top of a ditch, whilst ambulance services removed the injured driver, as fire services took their time in arriving
When the did arrive, the were of the opinion, ' Thats a grand set-up, sure we'll leave thing as is' , and I ended up there over an hour

Pleased to say all parties to accident are suffering from cuts and bruises only and will ecover full
The Ka tok a mighty impact from behind, and literally somersalted away from the junction it was stopped at, and landed on the ditch 50yrds up the road facing the opposite direction, Corolla that impacted from behind was in tatters
Although, given my recent experiences, I can honestly say, the should be thankfull it wasnt a D3 that impacted them Nine-tenths of wisdom is being wise in time.
Nice job there BB. Perhaps we should rebrand as Disco3 emergency service I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

In my Disco today...
I collected my Jetboil from the Royal Mail Delivery Office and 230g gas canister from Decathlon - generated a mug of tea in about 50 seconds at home at lunchtime - awesome! 8) Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Out with JF Lux for a 145 km "road book" today, which is the name in these parts for green laning. About half was actually green lane. It was disappointingly tame after Durler last month but it was still very beautiful countryside and villages. We drove from Luxembourg up towards Montmedy and Etain. I forgot to take my camera.
Will visit Bridel Quarry tomorrow. The Kumho KL71s are great. 8)

And my new Nikon is broken... But nicked a camera from one of the kids...
NJF and a couple of D2's from the LR Lux club. A very green lane...
A quick stop to make sure we take the right track next...
Got to see a couple of bunkers from the Maginot Line (but couldn't get inside)
And NJF's highlight of the day...he got use his winch...
NJF at the first ford
NJF at the second ford...
And finally...me crossing the second ford...
Not as difficult or as challenging as Durler but a pleasant day none the less, especially as the sun came out.
As NJF said - Bridel Quarry tomorrow. Tonight I was talking to the guy that designed this year's course at the quarry...from what he said it should be fun - they've opened up the longest climb and descent yet at the quarry. At the high point we should have a view right over to Luxembourg City... The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...
