There is a defender conversions aswell, I like the idea, if that's what you want, but for a cheap conversion and just shy of 90k miles on a LHD they are asking a lot for itSill protection - LED internal lights - LED reverse lights - boot liner - Dog Guard - Rock sliders

They were built to avoid the punitive tax on vehicles in Denmark. Campers are subjected to a lower rate. As such you get all sorts of weird and wonderful camper versions. A Danish friends Uncle has a similar conversion on a RRS.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

It was also a cheaper way of importing a vehicle into the Uk by importing it as a motor caravan it was exempt from SVA and certain import duties...... DVLA stated it had to be fitted with a sink to be registered as a motor caravan....
Loads of Jap imports got round the system in this way....lots of Prado's, Shoguns and Bongo's etc with sinks thrown in them...
Suggest this one came from shores afar and built not to EU spec.....

Not sure why the ad says "Land Rover Denmark introduced back in 2005 a new Discovery 3 Camper model" and "REALLY CLEAN EUROPEAN CAR."==================================

Not bad for a 2005 camper......

Not unlike the 2004 caravan we brought 2 years ago had its original oven that had never been used. If as said above they are produced to get round Denmark taxes then no reason why it hasn't been used.
Personally think its far too dear for a D3 with a pop-up roof and sink.==================================

They're only converted to reduce the enormous taxation on cars in Denmark. No one buys them to actually use as camper vans, they'd buy a VW etc. for that purpose. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

I did not realise the only difference between a disco 3 and disco 4 is a naff set of rear lights and a different grille, obviously wasted my money!
