Reminds me... I was on an overnight train out of Paris. We had a sleeper with a toilet.. Having a pee and looked out the window to see a full commuter train going exactly the same speed as us about 6 inches from our train... I just hit the floor ... Had to ask my wife when the train had departed the adjacent track so I could stand up ... It was no use she was in stitches for an hour..

Not quite on message here but many years ago I was at nightclub in Manchester (Hacienda) and someone had left a big in one of the urinal bowls. Just think about that No photos but it is true
I was there too So was Mick Hucknall and that ginger bird who did the lesbian kissing in Brookside. Not sure either were responsible for the unpleasantness in the urinal.....
A chap with long blond hair, big boobs and perfect make up except for the 5"o"clock shadow. I bet! it's all coming out now. Did he swallow that excuse? "Sorry Bill, I just bumped into you"

Long before 'the village' and Gaychester the area was, well, seedy yet already asssociated with gentlemen of a certain persuasion.
Local wags were constantly erasing the first letters of the two words on the street signs.

My mate (actually, someone I know vaguely from years ago but is quite rich - hence why I call him my mate ) claims that him and his brother were the first ones to remove C and S from the sign.
Given he also used to go around Manchester dressed as a superhero and chase scrotes for fun, they may have been..

I was born and brought up in Manchester (Eccles), and it was happening in the early 70s for sure when I used to go out drinking in the city centre. No idea when it first started.
