I hired a Ford Fiesta in Spain on holiday.
They only have the flap, no cap. I thought it was missing but it has a Bung in the flap.
Landrover are missing out on a trick there. Lol

There's much more control using gears and the pedal in the middle by far.
I've gave it a good go to try to justify the hdc and couldn't.
Obviously you have never done some proper off-roading then or gone on the LR Experience... .

Yes, i wondered what's wrong with the prop shaft type handbrake. Presumably it locks all wheels, ideal off road.
Cost I suppose.

I've taken the disco 3 out on some green lanes (with hills) more times than I can remember and also to a Bala Forrest event which was quite challenging in parts. I live in the hills & some winters (and now springs) can get a little snowy & no I've not been on a LR experience day. I have never been anywhere to find HDC a useful feature to me anyway.
I suppose I've never pushed this vehicle to its limits so never had the opportunity to find it useful.

Hill Decent Control is fairly useless to me. Mainly as I live in Norfolk, where we have no hills. And I have a HDC fault

Ah well ignorance is bliss then
Get someone to show you how it works as it really is an amazing bit of kit - on a really slippery or icy slope to have all four wheels working independently to maintain maximum grip is quite impressive and without a foot on or near a brake and it works fowards and in reverse. .

Another fan for HDC - amazing on ice hills.
Got to pay attention though. If it is too slippery and all 4 lock you need to give it a bit of throttle - brave and quick!
Worse scenario, going up the hill safely, round the corner and something/somebody stops you , in this case a pedestrian because his kid is on the road on a sledge. As soon as stationary, car starts sliding backwards. Foot brake is useless. Need to put it in reverse and get HDC on, all while steering. Now you know why I hate the rotary knob - it is not intuitive in a crisis. d4 HSE

HDC and smooth in/out low box were the main things I checked when buying mine after listening that engine was smooth ... although I never knew until reading on forum about being able to change speed ! .

Surprised nobody had mentioned it yet
Though not every model has it.
TV / DVD
No use whatsoever.
HDC very good in right circumstances.
Voice control earlier versions very good entertainment for the kids.
Later versions seem to work well for me.

I've got a TV! Never, ever, watched it though
Also have the DVD player which my daughter loves, but it's so clumsy to operate that it's a pain!
If it wasn't for Rose's love of DVD's (she's on the autistic spectrum, so we need to accommodate a little ), I'd say you'd have had a point.
