Lower arm (bush) recommendations |
|
I'm due for another front lower bush or arm change as my current ones have turned to mush. There seem to be more options this time around so I thought I'd ask for suggestions. I've read through threads and will likely buy a complete arm set with bushes / bolts from advanced factors. I'm not considering polybush or anything similiar. Opinions welcomed.
Choices:
- heavy duty Meyle arms come with 4 yr warranty
- RRS arms
- OEM / standard arms 16 D4 Landmark

Go with Advanced fitted loads and no problems at all.

RRS or D3 armoured is the way to go, they are the same item, equally important for longevity is locking the bushes up at ride height, not with the wheels off the ground It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Thanks for the recommendations. Does it make sense to replace the front upper arms at the same time? I've never replaced the upper arms and my D3 is 13 years old. 16 D4 Landmark

Dropped my D3 off for front upper and lower arms replacement this morning. I went with the RRS arms from AF looking forward to seeing if there is a difference.
Amazing to see the D4 used prices at the dealers. Selling for sticker prices with 15,000 miles must be continued high demand and not the D5. 16 D4 Landmark

Advanced Factors lower RRS arms are installed and my D3 has never felt so planted. Amazing how much tighter it is. Dealer put up a fight not to install the new upper arms as they apparently weren't worn enough to justify the extra 4 hours of labor. Big thanks to Advanced Factors my D3 drives like it's new again. 16 D4 Landmark
