Oil pump check ( recommendations please)
Hi all.
New to Landrovers having owned mine for about a month now. Could anybody recommend a garage in Kent/Surrey/Sussex to check my oil pump and if necessary replace it. Having read all the horror stories thought it would be a good idea. To say the least.
Discovery was registered in March 2009 and All belts were changed before I got the car, which is annoying as didn't know about this at the time.
Sorry if this has been asked before but can't find anybody in this part of the world on the forum.

Mine's a Jan 09 model and I had the belts done by Flack/Geoff last year at one of their 'cambelt weekends' at Geoff's place in Kent. The oil pump casting was checked and mine had the later, stronger, design already fitted.
So I suspect that yours will also have the stronger pump casting fitted but having it checked is still probably a good idea.

Thanks guys for your replies. That's reassuring comedyharvey but understand it can still be a bit of a lottery so intend to have it checked. Have been reading quite alot on this and seen Geoff's name come up on a number of occasions. Especially Flack and Geoff so thought the pair were up north. Will ask if he doesn't mind having a look for me.
