Maybe new owner - buying advice |
|
Hi,
So wife is keen on making us a 100% Landrover household, we are looking at 2004/2005 Discover 3.
Aware of the standard problem with the air suspension, parking brake, and cambelt interval etc.
Already looked at one that was sluggish to raise at the front and the compressor was working overtime.
With a good recent MOT and 100% service history, question is, what's the worse case I'm looking at if we buy private and it turns out to be a horror?
Cheers,
Steve

Worst case is you spend money like its going out of fashion, everything can be fixed at a price, it's when you draw the line and what you do next is the question.
You're aware of the niggles, some may have been fixed but do budget for others. At that age you wont get a warranty some have decided that the RAC scheme of paying £500 for repairs following a break down is worth the extra premium.
