HI, I am looking for a ignition feed under the bonnet to connect to the relay for a second battery charging system? Any pointers?

Normally a split charge relay is a voltage sensing relay, it detects the increase in voltage from the alternator to above the threashold and the relay is triggered ?

What are you fitting ?

Hi Beanie, I am linking the starter battery to a second bty and line fuses. The relay is rated at 100A 12v. The second bty will be used to power a winch on the odd chance its needed...A basic set up with a fuse either side of the relay. earth and ignition lead to the relay.

Looking for same info. Had thought re VSR (after suggestions, didn't know it existed) but the output on the D4 runs below the trigger threshold for much, if not most, of the time. Sad
