D4 - 3.0L - 8 speed autobox flush - SDV6
Hi,
After reading forum, I'm now aware how to check transmission fluid level and change the pan.
Though not sure how to flush 8 speed SDV6 transmission, as much as possible.
Robbie's guide about the level checking and pan removing was very clear and on point.
Filo's guide, correct if wrong, intended for TDV6's, as SDV6 got the extra valve.
If somebody done a recent flush on 8 speed SDV6 D4 please share brief steps.
Thanks
Rob

There are a few threads on here re this.
To summarise, the 8 speed box can't be fully drained in the normal way that a 6 speed box can. SO the options are to drain what can be done (half?), then repeat at regular intervals, or go to one of possibly a handful of places that have the necessary equipment to do a full 8 speed box drain.

Use the services of an increasing number of mobile specialists and independent garages that can power flush the 8 speed box using a powered dialysis type machine.
Mine will be done pre Xmas as it's now just over 50K

Hi all, does anyone know if Geoff or others are yet offering this service? Mine's turned 65k and could do with some new oil in the gearbox.
