Evening Guys,
I've done lots of searching which enabled me to unlock my upper tailgate when it got stuck but now I'd like some help and which bit to replace. It works on and off.
Upper tailgate jammed.
Won't open from switch or button on key fob which makes me think the switch is fine.
This narrows it down to the Latch or the actuator. The latch seems to be slow and sometimes sticky, I've cleaned it and lube to no avail but perhaps that is normal. You can press the switch and not hear the actuator which leads me to it. Do the actuators fail on and off, or is it a case of it being the latch?

I haven't taken this bit apart but can you get a multimeter to the actuator to check if it is getting voltage? Can you disconnect the actuator from the latch to see if works?
