Morning all
My phone works great connected to the car having fitted a D4 Bluetooth unit but I have today because I had my phone on silent noticed that there is no ringing sound when I receive a call when connected to Bluetooth. I have to take phone of silent to get an incoming call sound. Is this normal as i would prefer to have phone on silent when driving as otherwise I get text, email notification sounds all the time.
Is there a way to turn an incoming call sound on.
Cheers

If you have an android you can use an app called Llama which allows you to set profiles and activate them based on location, or in this case when you connect to a particular Bluetooth device.
Just setup a profile with the desired volume on the ring and zero volume on notifications and make it active when you are connected to the car - simples!
Not available for Apple though...

iOS 11 has an automatic feature that detects when you are in a car (either through connection to the car Bluetooth or through acceleration data) and automatically puts the phone into Do Not Disturb, yet allows incoming phone calls to be routed via Bluetooth to the car. If you use this setting then you can leave the phone off silent, not get disturbed by texts and notifications, and still get incoming calls with ringing through the car.
My iPhone 6S with IOS11 in both our D4 MY12 and a 2015 Jaguar rings through the car kit irrespective of whether the phone is on silent or not.

Thank you very much for that. I just been able to find that on my iPhone and it now does just as you said.
Thanks again
