I believe the AMK requires a software update. No probs if you have an IID but an added cost if you don't. However the more learned on here may correct me if I'm wrong

Can’t speak for the Hitachi but I had an AMK fitted 5 years ago and had no problems with it at all. There is a software update that goes with this but should be easy enough with your IID2016 RR Sport Autobiography

They got a new AMK kit from Arnott recently... it was mentioned on their FB a page a few days ago.
This was a full kit AMK style compressor, pipe work, relay and acoustic box all for £385 with three year warranty, I’m waiting to see what they say when they reply to my messageRange Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8 what a car

Just had an email from AF they have stopped supplying, wouldn’t go into reasons but no longer available so it’s either a genuine hitachi or the new AMK replacementRange Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8 what a car

That did seem a bit cheap for the upgrade kit seeing as the same kit is £650 at JGS. £385 for just the compressor.

I've got the Arnot one on mine fitted by previous owner, it doesn't use the cover, which means it's open to all the water etc,
There are various opinions as to whether they should be covered, personally I would rather have a cover on especially this time of year with road salt flying around, you can see from the photo it is completely exposed.
The covers don't fit at all the new mounting bracket is the wrong shape and size for the lower cover to fit, I tried I've got a complete upper and lower cover brand new.
The other option is Ebay

I had the arnott compressor on mine and queried about the case and the response I received was they do not fit a cover because it holds water and sludge, the Landrover cover is not completely water proof so water and mud etc does get inside and it stays inside due to there being no holes lower down to let it escape hence arnott do not fit one plus their compressor is fully waterproof without the case on.
It did fail after 18 months but was covered under warranty by AF so just got a replacement and fitted that.Goodyear Duratracs
