Looks like you should clean your MAF and the contacts under the round knob and to the switch pack.
The rest is just gadgets
Fixing LR problems very far from Solihull.
That's why my newest car is a 1999 Disco 2 V8 with 285.000 miles

The problem is the missing documentation, not the LR

sadly these cars do throw up faults when everything is fine.

looks like you need a
Front right inner sensor parking sensor.

can get them on ebay for around £10

Although wires do rub behind the bumper and cause problems, so it could be that.

No bad thing to have a spare sensor on these though.

9:30 AM and I'm getting my questions answered! Thanks

Ok so a trip to EK's for some MAF cleaner today.
My parking sensors aren't working at all, is it the case that if one goes down then the whole system shuts off? Front and back?

yeah the whole parking system shuts down.

could be rubbed wires behind bumper.

I don't know whether you can clean the airbox mass sensor in these.
can do more harm that good

These is a sensor under the plastic cover that likes a careful clean.
In the Y of the air intake.

Don't break it though, as you will get all sorts of dash messages and lights

Seems daft not to at those prices!
So you think the best plan of action is to clean the sensor and replace the meter?

You should be looking at this one never mind the parking sensors, all the other are nothing to worry about, when did it last have an air filter change and check the big tubo hose for any leaks / splits.

Need to be really careful with the oil filters on these cars.

You need to locate the nipple in.

Oil is 5.5 or 6 litres (5l will put it on minimum, which is fine for road use)

Yeah check for obvious problems with the wiring to the meter and contacts.

But at ~£20 seams silly not to order one.

Yeah the parking sensor is an after thought thanks Flak.
I will put on a warm coat and take a look at the turbo hose after lunch.
Should cracks and leaks be obvious?

I got it cheap because the cam belts might not have been changed, booking it in for these as soon as the garages open up again on the 2nd.
Would this be a good time to get the garage to take a look at the turbo? Also am I right in thinking that the Oil pump cover needs to be replaced at the same time, if it is the earlier version?

After the belts I'll do a full service myself. Again thanks for the links Pete.

Cheers

Is it the roughly 100mm diameter intercooler hose that I need to check for leaks?
