6spd 2010 D4 with 84k. Flushed by Geoff about 44k.
The gearbox has never been great but lately its getting much worse. 70% throttle or more when accelerating 0-60 is fine up through the gears. 70mph cruising is also fine - I think. Sometimes when cruising 50-60 I find myself knocking it into 6th gear as its hanging onto 5th.
Around town though, when you've accelerated to say 25mph and slacken off the throttle you expect it to change up - which it does, but sometimes with a nasty forward shunt from the gearbox.
Again with braking. Downhill and braking toward a junction and the change down is really harsh with a rearward shunt - enough to almost double the braking effort at times.
In one instance a few weeks ago (quite hilly where we live) there's a long steep overgrown single lane road. Dropped my daughter off for a scout meet at the top and decided to let it coast down with braking. Well the revs stayed quite high all the way down (over 2k) but when I went to accelerate normally at the bottom into town it would not change up - just kept redlining. I had to stop, knock it into neutral and then it was ok.
Even the wife say its not right, and that's saying something!

I'd start with another flush again then see if that improves it. I guess its not throwing up any fault codes?

Try and get the codes read - no warnings on the dash doesn't always mean there isn't a fault code being lodged. Good luck.
