I started having instrument cluster issues. If I get another cluster from breakers, what needs to be done - VIN coded from car or? Can SDD do it?

The replacement cluster will keep it mileage so find one with the same or lower mileage.
It may be easier to send your original cluster to Totaltronics and get it repaired.Andrew

I`m not in UK, sending for repair is not an option. I have been told connecting another instrument cluster to my car will immobilise it and then its recovery truck option only.

Brief update on this, since doing my cambelt last year, where i found one of the multi-core connectors you need to unplug to get to the rear belt was not pushed in tight!, Its not come back.....
Maybe all this testing and replacing the cluster was for nothing.... fingers crossed.... Its been a year now and no return.New Engine - Fitted with body on...
