Pre pro D3 V8 HSE vs D4 XXV
Hi all,
After months of deliberation i have decided to move to a newer model. Something i am still anxious about as the D3 is still brilliant.
Anyway, before the D3 leaves me i thought i would take some pictures of the two flagships together. I found it interesting to compare spec of later D4's to my D3 when searching for a new Disco. My D3 is a pre-production car and was spec'd with EVERYTHING from factory inc locking rear diff, rear air con and Rear DVD. Its a special car and trying to replace it has been difficult. Eventually it became clear that the only car that could compete was the XXV.... The XXV still doesn't have the locking rear diff though!
I know we all like pictures, so thought id share. just for fun.
its interesting to see the journey the model has made over 10 years.
Separately, why has the rear right locker got smaller and the top glove box too?

Both are nice, I’m sure!

No, the XXV has it, the D3 is missing the holder.1974 S111 SWB 200di conversion, rag top, bronze green. Known as Munch

Amazing that a 13 year old design (D3) still blends in with modern cars on the road. Most other makes look much more dated compared to the D3.16 D4 Landmark

Sadly yes, can’t afford to keep two! Have agreed a deal with a friend. I have first refusal to buy back if he needs to sell in the future.1974 S111 SWB 200di conversion, rag top, bronze green. Known as Munch
