What is this?
So I was relegated to the third row on the way home from a birthday meal with the family this evening, mainly to keep the two kids from killing each other, when I noticed that the C-pillar trim was a little bit loose. I pulled it open a little bit and found what I can only describe as a shoe lace kind of webbing. I took a crap photo and thought I’d post it here to see if anyone could satisfy my curiosity.

I might get be mistaken but I think it’s part of the side curtain airbags looks similar material

I suspected it might be air bag related, just seemed a bit odd that it appeared to head into the roof lining.

The side curtain airbags run along the top side of the headlining full length of car

as the other guys have said it’s defentely for the curtain airbags
enclosed a pic when i replaced mine so u can see them without the head lining installed
