Complete newbie here, I'm going to look at a disco3 tomorrow.
Wondered if anybody could help me out with what to look for?
Heard that fsh is a must, and also timing belt should be changed at 120k is this correct?
How much would timing belt change be? Labour and parts?
Other main focal point I've heard is air suspension, how do I check it's all in correct working order?
Any more pointers would be appreciated.
Cheers [/b]

Hi and welcome.
You might want to search for inspection checklists here, there are various.
Timing belts should have been done at 105 k miles or 7 year mark. You’ll find a service schedule here https://disco3.co.uk/gallery/albums/userpi...ervice.pdf
In general it is probably really, really good idea to try out every button on the console, all gears (also in lower mode), make sure terrain programs work, etc.
As for suspension, I’d make sure it goes nicely to access, standard, off-road and back. You can do all of these either while driving slowly (<40 km/h) or when the car is stopped.
Also as very general advice, look through a bunch of them before committing to one. Applies to other things than cars as well.

As has already been said, don't buy the first one you see. Look at lots and you will become more familiar with their good and bad points. Experience will get you the right car. Good luck. 1955 SWB Series 1 86 inch
