Baffled by a mileage discrepancy
Im a bit puzzled by a mileage discrepancy and wondered what may have went wrong .
If you have a look at the MOT mileage recordings it jumps from Miles to KM & dont tally up.
Any thoughts on whats happened apart from being clocked..?
July 2008 - 10212 Miles
July 2009 - 14417 Miles
July 2010 - 17740 Miles
Aug 2011 - 19343 Miles
Jan 2013 - 25201 Miles
Dec 2013 - 28950 Miles
Jan 2015 - 30178 Miles
Feb 2016 - 30311 KM
July 2017 - 22655 Miles
Thanks in advance

well, 22655 miles is 36459 km.
Could it be that the odometer has always been set to kilometres, but not picked up by the MOT tester that it was KM and not miles. Then after your second to last MOT, which listed 30k km, it was picked up as being KM and then it was reset to miles, thus the apparent drop?
Random thought.

Maybe the KM reading should have been in Miles, and the last reading the first digit should be a 3 not a 2, ie it's done 32k miles?
I wouldn't think anyone would bother clocking a vehicle wth such low mileage in the first place.

Looks like a paperwork error to me. How many keepers in the log book?
What's the rest of the vehicle like?
How worn are the seats, controls etc.

Dont worry about it
Have you seen some MOT testers?
I sometimes wonder how they can get food to mouth to survive.
I also have a 'bit' of a discrepancy

Just looks like Freddy fat fingers has been at the keyboard again.
Had a van that they twice gave me a cert for that was one letter wrong. Van reg finished NVU, got NUV and next year got NUU.
Thankfully SWIMBO is on the ball.
