Locked door lock
Hi,
I have read just about everything on door locks for the D3 but no one seems to be able to tell me how to get the door open to remove the 3 screws on the side of the door to remove the lock. No amount of button pushing combinations will release the lock
Anyone have any ideas on this thanks.
Regards Bob

Hi
On the off chance , a little while ago I discovered is having someone on the inside door handle and using the dashboard unlock button
keep pushing the locking and unlocking button on the dashboard whilst someone else pulls the handle from the inside of the door , had to do it about 5 x times and door unlocked
Wouldn’t be the off side rear door would it
Apologises if you’ve already seen that

Hi,
Thanks for the reply gstuart, yes I saw that one. No matter what I try I can not get it to unlock. Funny thing is the rear passenger door stopped unlocking then a week later the front passenger door stopped working. I think Land Rovers were put here to do our heads in.

Hi
That’s a shame , as both have gone on the same side it wouldn’t be any wire issue / fuse, could it??
Hope u get it resolved

Afraid you've got the worst case scenario=nightmare.
The door card has got to come off it will get damaged
The will seat will have to come out or moved to enable card removal
The door handle has got to come off (retaining screw hidden behind a round black sticker under the door card).
The window has to be taken out to allow access to the lock to open the door
First off fully charge your battery, pray and try the above 2 person method several times over a week sometimes they do mysteriously work, if it does do not close the door!
LR charge one hour fixed rate to fit It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

That's the easy bit, opening the door when locked is a little harder It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Blimey it must be door week,
Still can’t believe my rear drivers side door failed whilst having its mot ,
Took about 15 x minutes messing around with the dashboard switches and handles then eureka door opened and got the panel off, pheeeew , ordered new actuator assembly
So now got 10 x days for the mot retest , ah nothing like a bit of pressure
Just been reading up and looks fun to get the actuator out
