My Discovery Internal Strip Down due to leak
Hi All,
Got stuck with the terrible rotted sunroof drain pipe issue. Disco got absolutely soaked. must have been like this for months if not years with the previous owner. So decided together al the seats out, carpets out, dash out etc.
Pumped out over 10 litres of water from both willing loom channels that run from front to back of the vehicle.
Not finished yet. just got to the point of removing the CBJ and fitting the new drain pipe on the passenger side.
see pictures below.

Hi
Thks, I’ve also removed the headlining in the past when I replaced curtain airbags
Would it be very cheeky , if u would be so kind to take some pictures of the wiring and modules please
Just thought then it would be such a perfect situation for future references ,
Hope u didn’t mind me asking
Many thks and if I can be of any assistance ref the headliner plse feel free to ask
from experience of doing similar with my Dolly Sprint many moons ago …
keep the carpets in as near to their fitted shape as is possible and avoid leaving anything weighty on them. I never did get passenger footwell back into the correct shape..

Help. Need a disco 3 electrical genius
Hi All
I have an issue with my disco. Due to years of water getting in through sunroof drains I have had to gut out my discovas you can see from my pictures. Reconnected the battery today but when I started I got multiple warnings. I can do most things but I’m not an electrical person. An anyone recommend someone that will come to my house to look at the issue. The disco is now spotless inside but do not want to put all the seats back in until it gets a good bill of health.
If u need to know what the errors are I will need to plug battery back in.
Hope to hear soon as would love to get it back on the road for the autumn / winter.

Is it the case that because you still have stuff disconnected, the errors are showing? What have you still got unplugged?Richard

It’s just the seats and equipment under the seats that are not back in yet. Engine will not start either. I have an E on the dash. I am also getting hdc and suspension height errors.
There are days when I am grateful that I don't have a sunroof on my Disco.
I hope you get through the electrical prolems without too much ordeal and the car back in running order soon.

The seat belt pre tensioners and the side airbags are in the front seats. Having them disconnected will play havoc with the SRS system I'd imagine.
I would try plugging in the seats before you panic too much
P.S check the battery is fully charged. A low battery will give you the HDC and suspension
errors.Richard

David, if you try a search theres also a home made cover thats worth making/fitting that stops water dripping into the heater fan inlet under the wiper slam panel cover.
