Track rod end/bolt. HELP!
Morning all, I live in the UK but am in France on holiday. I have had a bake down in my Discovery 4. Looks like the bolt holding the track rod in has snapped clean off and left some inside. Now waiting to be recovered but not sure where. Has anyone else had this issue or know someone in France that could assist. Big ask but fingers crossed. Also does anyone know the likely cause? TIA

I think there have been quite a few that have had those bolts snap off. LR part number is RYG501580.

And I would get 2 bolts, replace the one on the other side as well!

Thanks Ron. Know anyone in France? Having a nightmare. They are hoping to take it to a LR dealer but I’m worried they will replace the whole hub? Do you know the part number for that?
Cheers Ben,

Do you know why? Could it be something else or just one of those things?
TIA

No idea of the cause but some speculated the bolt should have been a bigger size to stand up to the job.
Sorry but I can't help with anyone in France to assist, maybe ask in the "Francophone" section?

Don't need a dealer for that..
If it's purely a bolt that you need...and looking at the photo- it appears that it is, find a local garage/shop and get an HT bolt and Nyloc/washers of the same size.2011 MY D4 HSE

How long are you in France for ? Thanks all. I will wait for Land Rover to give it the once over. I think it should just be the bolt but they may change the hub rather than drill it out and re-thread. If I was in the uk I’m sure it would be squared quickly. In France everything is a different pace.
