Interior door trim swap - how to? |
|
Have replacement door trims (changing from the piano black to the wooden). Any advice before I go pulling at things, a steer in the right direction would be great.
Is it easy enough, do I need to remove the door cards?

No need to remove the door cards. Photos would be best but from memory you firstly remove the handle trim held on by one screw behind the small handle. All four trims are removed by pushing the front edge and pulling the back end towards the rear of the vehicle. A screwdriver, covered with a cloth to protect from scratches, can be used to lever out the rear edge then push/pull the front edge. Take a deep breath and be brave as they can be a bit of a struggle. The first one made me sweat but after that it was a doddle. Good luck!

Thanks, was just about to post that I got them all done easily last night. Takes a bit of confidence but once you sort the first one, then it works easily.
Happy with result. I like the wood finish in the lighter interiors.
Now I have the four door trims and the one below the sat nav in piano black spare, might put up for sale.
