Interesting about EPB fault being linked, I’ve got some time tomorrow to spend on it so will investigate.

Surely I’m not that lucky...

They are ‘lost comms’ Codes and was planning on checking for 12v at the plug but that’s another day and another thread!

Thanks for the help too, best forum I’ve been part of in 15 years of unreliable car ownership!

Its very often the case a genuine fault is followed by a CAN Bus / comms DTC and sometimes even a cascade.
When you consider a dodgy rear light bulb can cause the systems in these machines to crash and die without warning, its not surprising you have a DTC on the EPB.

So long as you don't have a C code stored you should be OK.

Btw, what have you been driving this last 15 years? don't say LR Laughing but it wouldn't surprise me.

Usually U codes can be ignored unless there is an obvious problem.

I have a C1A00 - control module, but this may not be EPB. I’ll take a look when everyone is up and awake and i don’t have a 14 month old to supervise!

PROFSR G - 3 original minis, 3 Nissan 350z (2 blown engines), 2 BMWs, a supercharged Mini Cooper S, a disco 3 with crank bearing failure, Freelander 1 TD4, Freelander 2 (steering rack failure) and my current D3 have been the worst, and that’s not including over 20 motorbikes in that time including Ducatis, Aprilias, several Yamahas and a half a dozen Kawasakis!

I say I don’t enjoy fixing things but I just keep coming back for more

Ah yes I recognise this condition, there's a medical term for it which eludes me Laughing
