Help with ignition issue please |
|
I have a problem with my 08 discovery, sometimes i cannot remove key other times can remove but engine stays running. Transmission fault come on at times other times it's a park brake fault. Anyone any ideas please. At times it can take 10 mins of fiddling with the key to turn it off. I have already sprayed and cleaned the ignition. ????

Thanks for the reply, just sorted it this evening. Problem previously posted with the rear fogs. I had given up myself so sent it to a garage to get it sorted. Turns out one of the connections he had made came loose, it was shoddy enough work anyway. I pulled the wires from the fuse box and hey presto no more ignition issues.
I presume it was giving a fault on the canbus system. Resolved now so back to the original problem.

At least you found it.
I'm beginning to wonder if the disco was designed as a technicians nightmare scenario test rather than a car. Disco 4 2012
