single injector removal/ seal replacement
Hi, i need to remove injector 1 on cylinder 1.
got engine chuff clearly coming from the base of injector topside of clamp. along with alot of of black carbon sludge.
is there a vid anyone can enlighten me to as cant find anything.
would just be good to know the procedure.
i have done alot of the mechanics on my truck just have never done this job
ive got new seal kit ready, from what ive read up its likely to be the copper seal?

use some penetrating oil to loosen it up. then use a long 13mm socket with an extension to fit it on the connection to the fuel line to try and move it around. that will help you to brake the carbon and remove it easily.
yes the seal is cooper and there is a posibility it is stuck inside the rabbit hole. use a long screwdriver to get it out.

Theres only two difficult bits
1, cleaning the injector seat face in the head
2, not losing the bloody leak off pipe clip!

Just had to do a injector seal on my d3 , to clean the washer seat I used a long extension bar and a long 8mm scocket with a clean rag with a squirt of brake and clutch cleaner on it worked a treat
