Really sorry to hear this perhaps if we chopped off some of the thieves fingers when they get caught it would deter others
Can i just ask was this a keyless entry type theft and if so did they solve this problem in later models ?D4 HSE Lux MY16 Club Waitomo

Dreadful... I hope you get it back and most importantly I hope the thief is caught.
He made that look seriously easy and I am not sure what you could have done to stop that happening if your key was cloned without turning your drive way into a fortress...

Shockingly easy. I’m just off to plug in the iid to check the keys out! Mine are kept in a faraday bag, but that looks like a clone job.
As usual, a good look around local streets and car parks for a couple of days is your best chance of recovery.

Yes, it was clearly a keyless entry type jobby, annoyingly so, as my keys are always kept in our aluminium lined steel shelled safe when the car is not in use...
As for later models, I couldn’treally say, but as far as tech goes, as quickly as it develops against them the lowlifes catch up and find ways to beat it...
It was a beautiful motor, but still only a bunch of metals, plastics and rubber at the end of it all...
Thanks again to all of you for your kindly comments and concerns, very much appreciated and comforting...
